If you have experience and are looking to expand your capabiliites and develop your career, there are ample opportunities to flourish as a Commis Chef and beyond. A fully-funded Apprenticeship can also be arranged if desired, and will be fully supported on the job.
If you have no experience but are interested in trying out a kitchen career, you will receive on-the-job training to enable you to serve freshly prepared food to a high standard.
The Role

You will be working for a Head Chef who will inspire and train you to the next level in your career. The kitchen delivers high quality modern British cooking using classical skills. All food is freshly prepared on site, using quality ingredients from local suppliers to produce exciting seasonal menus along with pub classics.
The Breakfast Chef job involves:
* preparing daily cooked breakfasts for up to 20 overnight residents as well as external guests between 7 and 10am
* checking and storing daily deliveries from our food suppliers
* maintaining the hygiene standard of the kitchen
* helping the kitchen team with daily preparation of ingredients for the à la carte menus
An existing Commis Chef will be expected to have some relevant experience and hygiene qualifications.

The Greyhound Inn is an independently-owned, downland village, 18th Century pub close to the large and busy market town of Wantage in the Vale of White Horse, Oxfordshire. Customers are especially happy with the delicious breakfasts they are served with high quality ingredients freshly cooked to order.
The Details
Flexible hours: Part-time 5 out of 7 days 20 hours or more, depending on the candidate. We support a good work-life balance.
