The Senior Manager will be responsible for 3 Children in Care teams across our three localities (Chester, Ellesmere Port and Winsford), a borough-wide Supporting Independence Team and a small participation and rights team who work with our Children in Care Council.
We are invigorating our Corporate Parenting strategy, enhancing our approach to permanence, and improving our services and practice to ensure our children are prepared for leaving care. We are ambitious for our children in care and care leavers, working in a trauma-informed, strengths-based way to ensure they are supported to achieve positive outcomes, live in safe and stable homes, and successfully transition into adulthood. We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Manager to lead our Children in Care and Care Leavers service.
As Senior Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across our Children in Care & Care Leavers , Supporting Independence Team, and Participation Team. You will play a key role in driving our Corporate Parenting responsibilities, ensuring that children and care leavers are supported as if they were our own.
We are looking for a confident and experienced leader with a strong track record in children’s social care, particularly in services for children in care and care leavers. You will bring a deep understanding of statutory responsibilities, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice, alongside the ability to lead through change, use data to drive improvement, and build a positive, reflective culture across services.
