Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with vehicles. As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on various types of vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess tyre condition, including tread depth and wear patterns.
- Remove and replace tyres on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Balance wheels to ensure smooth operation and reduce vibration.
- Repair punctures and other damage to tyres as necessary.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering advice on tyre care and maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to tyre installation and repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling tyres and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
