Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Tiler to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in tiling and related trades, providing a solid foundation for a career in the construction industry. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced trades people, assisting with various tiling projects and gaining practical skills in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing surfaces for tiling, including cleaning and levelling
- Learn to measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Support the installation of tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to project specifications
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise placement of tiles
- Help with mixing adhesives, grouts, and other materials required for tiling tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Support with related tasks such as construction painting or carpentry as directed by supervisors
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Requirements
- Basic knowledge or interest in construction trades
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction work is desirable
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully
- Ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding environment
- Valid UK driving licence is essential
