Trainee Dental Nurse/receptionist
Job Description

We are a six surgery practice, equipped with SOE Exact computer system, fully air conditioned surgeries and a well established team and patients.
We are looking for the right candidate to join our existing friendly team in Winchester
Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 7.45am - 5.15pm.
Friday 7.45am - 4.15pm.
(one Saturday per month will be required, but a day off during the week will be given - Saturday hours 8.45-3.45)

- Managing busy diaries
- Maintaining and updating patient records
- Customer Service focussed
- Experience of EXACT (SOE) system desirable.
- Maintain a strong emphasis on the patient journey and level of service provided
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Provide chair-side assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available
- Observe patient confidentiality at all times
- Handle all substances in accordance with health and safety policies
- Be familiar and comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal, etc.
- Complete laboratory request forms, keep records of work sent, received and fitted
- Develop and file radiographs
- Order/ask the practice manager to order new supplies as required
- Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a DBS check upon receiving a job offer.
Following successful probation, the candidate will be expected to enrol on a Dental nurse training course to gain their NEBDN qualification (or equivalent) which will be funded by the company. Basic, on the job training will be given by experienced and/or qualified staff prior to enrolling on the course.
