Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our nursery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the early experiences of children while managing daily activities, staff, and compliance with childcare standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a passion for childcare, and excellent communication abilities.
Duties
- Oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children and staff
- Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team to deliver outstanding childcare services
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities aligned with early childhood education principles
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and health & safety standards
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication and updates on children's progress
- Manage staffing schedules, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure proper record-keeping for children's development, attendance, and health information
Experience
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare roles
- Strong understanding of nursery practices, child development milestones, and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Valid driving license preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a child-centered approach
