Job Purpose
To oversee the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, high food and hygiene standards, efficient staff management, and the smooth running of all restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the restaurant and ensure the business runs efficiently.
- Lead, supervise and support restaurant staff, including preparing staff rotas and allocating duties.
- Ensure customers receive a high standard of service and deal professionally with customer enquiries, complaints and feedback.
- Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control to ensure consistent standards.
- Ensure all food hygiene, health & safety and licensing requirements are followed.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant, kitchen and customer areas.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure the restaurant is adequately stocked.
- Control wastage and help manage food and operating costs.
- Handle cash, card payments, banking and daily financial procedures where required.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance and conduct.
- Train and support new and existing staff members.
- Ensure restaurant equipment is maintained and report or arrange repairs where necessary.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure the premises are secure.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Help promote the restaurant and maintain a positive reputation within the local community.
- Support the owner/directors with business operations and improvements.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the successful running of the restaurant.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality or supervisory/management role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage staff and maintain high standards of performance.
- Good customer service skills.
- Reliable, professional and able to take responsibility for the smooth running of the restaurant.
- Knowledge of Turkish food and cuisine is desirable but not essential.
- Turkish language is preferred but not necessary
Working Environment
This is a hands-on management position. The Restaurant Manager is expected to work alongside staff during busy periods and lead by example to ensure the restaurant maintains high standards of service, food quality and cleanliness.
Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
