Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and restaurant operations, with a focus on food preparation and safety. As a Chef, you will lead kitchen staff, oversee food production, and ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the menu specifications.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation techniques and presentation.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Develop new recipes and menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking methods and cuisines.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing a team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
