Looking for time served painter & decorator.
Temporary position.
Driving licence is essential, as driving will be required on a daily basis.
Duties & Abilities include:
Good time keeping
Being able to work as part of a team and also alone, running the job from start to finish to a high standard.
Hang lining and finish wallpapers
Internal and external painting
Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate as well as protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and also fixtures of buildings other structures
Read work order or receives instructions from supervisor or homeowner regarding painting/decorating
Smooth surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool and additionally removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting
Fill nail holes, cracks, and also joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler, using caulking gun putty knife
Select premixed paints, or mixes required portions of pigment, oil, and also thinning drying
substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors
Spread dropcloths over floors as well as room furnishings, and also covers surfaces, like baseboards, door frames, and also windows with masking tape paper to protect surfaces during painting
Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers
Simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile effects
Apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects
Erect scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
Salary is negotiable dependent on experience.
