Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent service to patrons, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships, offering valuable experience within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age in accordance with food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor stock levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables or seating areas when required
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a lively environment
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Knowledge of safety standards is desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt within the team
Pay: £12.71 per hour
