Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the coffee shop. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils
- Serve customers efficiently with a friendly attitude, taking orders accurately
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with food preparation tasks when required
- Manage multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining quality and speed
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is a MUST
- Must have late art skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a lively setting
