Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive knowledge of senior care, and a compassionate approach to supporting residents with diverse needs. This role offers an opportunity to lead a committed team in delivering high-quality of nursing care and specialised dementia care, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and fostering a warm, safe environment for residents. The successful applicant will have a background in nursing or residential care, with proven management and supervising experience within a care home setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operation of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery adhering to the CQC requirements.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Supervise and support staff members, promoting professional development and maintaining a motivated team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult social care and health & safety standards.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor quality assurance processes to uphold the safety, dignity, and well-being of residents at all times.
- Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resource allocation efficiently to optimise operational effectiveness.
- Organise staff training programmes focusing on specialised areas such as dementia care and senior support.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential care home environments; prior management or supervisory experience is essential.
- Qualifications in nursing or relevant health & social care fields are highly desirable.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Compassionate approach combined with excellent communication skills to support residents’ emotional well-being.
- Familiarity with the CQC regulatory requirements governing care homes.
Pay: From £55,000.00 per year
