We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join the Medicines Optimisation team at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Teaching Trust as a Pharmacy Support Worker - Higher Level. In this role, you will work closely with our wardbased clinical pharmacy team to help ensure patients receive their medications safely, efficiently and on time. You’ll be joining a progressive, forwardthinking Pharmacy department where innovation and teamwork are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for someone who has either successfully completed an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or is willing to work to gain this qualification within 15 months of employment. The successful applicant, unless they already hold the stated NVQ2, will be required to undertake and successfully complete the NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification (provided by Bradford College) within 12-15 months of appointment as a condition of the post. Ideally you will have experience in a pharmacy setting, either community or hospital.
We would like you to have a positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for patient care, a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage a busy workload whilst working both independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be confident and have clear communication skills.
There will be regular weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rota basis.
This post is based at Dewsbury District Hospital, but you will be required to work at other sites within the Trust. Interviews will take place at Dewsbury District Hospital.
