Overview
We are seeking skilled and dependable Drainage Gangs to join our team. This role involves working on drainage Water and sewer systems, ensuring proper installation, maintenance, and repair. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in mechanical or electrical work, or those eager to develop their skills in drainage operations. Responsibilities
- Excavating trenches and working with heavy machinery such as excavators to access underground drainage systems
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining drainage pipes and related infrastructure
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Conducting inspections of drainage systems to identify faults or blockages
- Assisting with the assembly and fitting of mechanical components within drainage networks
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and environmental standards
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Skills
- Experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is desirable
- Proficiency in welding techniques for pipework repairs or installations
- Competence with hand tools and power tools used in construction and maintenance tasks
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to drainage systems and infrastructure
- Electrical experience is advantageous for troubleshooting electrical components associated with drainage equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay: £21.00-£25.00 per hour
