Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking in the kitchen
- Provide excellent customer service and hospitality to elderly residents and their guests
- Take orders and serve food and beverages to residents
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages some of which may be modified
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area and kitchen
- Follow food safety regulations and guidelines
- Help with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth operations
Skills:
- Previous experience in food preparation, hospitality, bartending, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide a positive dining experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- An affinity towards the older person and supporting them maintaining a quality of life living in a care home
- Team player mentality with a willingness to help others
