Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Engineer to join our Manchester team.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced engineer with proven knowledge of both fire alarm systems and security systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and commissioning of a wide range of fire and security systems across customer sites throughout Manchester and wider areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, fault find and repair fire alarm systems.
- Install, commission and maintain security systems including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and related electronic security systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with relevant British Standards and company procedures.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
- Complete all required documentation electronically and accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota where required.
- Liaise effectively with customers, colleagues and the operations team.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance or recommend upgrades where appropriate.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment to a high standard.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer.
- Strong working knowledge of both fire alarm systems and electronic security systems.
- Experience working with one or more leading manufacturers such as Gent, Advanced, Morley, C-Tec, Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy, Honeywell, Dahua, Apollo or Kentec is desirable.
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- FIA qualifications or other relevant industry certifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
