About the role
Balfour Beatty are looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Coordinator to join our Highways Connect Plus Services Team.
The Coordinator will take ownership of the collation, maintenance and reporting of data in relation to HSW and provide timely and accurate administrative support to the
HSW team on the project. We have site offices based around the M25 network, this role can be based from either Dartford, Leatherhead or South Mimms.
Connect Plus Services (CPS) brings together the collective strength of our parent companies - Balfour Beatty, Atkins and Egis Road Operation UK. With around 600 people, based at eight locations across the M25 network, we work on behalf of Connect Plus and National Highways to manage the operation of the M25 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from routine maintenance to managing the whole-life requirement of thousands of assets across the network.
What you'll be doing
- Support the HSW Director/Manager in ensuring accurate HSW performance
monitoring.
- Proactively identify trends within the datasets to enable focus into areas requiring
improvement.
- Co-ordinate meetings, arranging rooms, inviting guests, taking minutes, collating
meeting packs etc.
- Develop and distribute reports and analysis as requested.
- Liaise with the Onboarding Administrator to assist with processing of induction
bookings across the project, utilising Msite database for Competency vetting and
liaising with supply chain administrators
- Upload incident information to the required databases in a timely and accurate
manner
- Operate and maintain technical databases that support HSW operations
- Assist with the compilation and coordination of reports on a monthly and ad hoc
basis
- Maintain incident and assurance files
- Categorise HSW observations and provide trending analysis monthly. Assisting the
project team to close out observations effectively
- Assist with HS&W document control, record keeping and archiving
- Assist with the creation and distribution of Health, Safety and Wellbeing Campaign
material and creating/updating noticeboards as required
Who we're looking for
- Must be fully proficient in all Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel
- Keen attention to detail and quality when producing data and statistics
- Reliable, proactive and able to meet demanding deadlines
- Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise several tasks whilst dealing with day-to-day
work requests.
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Desire to learn all aspects of Health, Safety & Wellbeing
