Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Cleaner to join our dental practice team. The position is part-time, working 1.5 hours Monday-Friday, before or after practice opening hours (i.e. 06:30-08:00 or any time after 17:30). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment within the practice, ensuring all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including treatment room floors, waiting areas, staff rooms, and restrooms
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning tools and products
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, hand soap, and other consumables as needed
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent standards are met
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Adhere to infection control protocols specific to dental environments
- Assist with general organisational tasks related to cleanliness and hygiene
Experience
- Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is highly desirable
- Experience working in healthcare environments is advantageous
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment used in professional settings
This role requires a responsible individual who values cleanliness and hygiene standards. Candidates should be organised, reliable, and able to work efficiently autonomously and within a team. Previous experience in similar roles will be viewed favourably.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
