The role
We are looking for a collaborative and experienced leader to guide the Bus and Coach business in the UK and Ireland through its next phase. Volvo Buses focuses on production and development on chassis, working with external bodybuilders and partners to offer a complete range of city, intercity, and premium coach solutions. As Managing Director, Cluster West, you will lead the way and work with a highly dedicated team to execute on the business strategy.
Key responsibilities

Lead the shift from product sales to customer-focused solutions sales.

Strengthen relationships and collaboration with customers, bodybuilders, market companies, partners, dealers, and service networks across the UK and Ireland.

Guide the business through change, ensuring clear priorities, effective execution, and strong accountability.

Manage business risks, opportunities, and trade-offs as the scope evolves.

Contribute as a member of the Business Unit Chassis leadership team.

Support strategy, business performance, people development, and culture-building initiatives.

Qualifications and experience

A relevant degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.

Fluent English is required.

International business experience is an advantage.

Experience in mobility, automotive, or related industries is beneficial, but not essential.

Reporting line
The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Business Unit Chassis and is a member of the Business Unit Chassis management team.
Location and timeline
The position is based in Warwick. Travel is expected, but we value sustainable ways of working and work-life balance.
