We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This position involves engaging with children in their early developmental stages, promoting their learning through play, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute daily routines and activities.
- Support children during meal times, ensuring proper food preparation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Encourage positive behaviour through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of meals, incorporating basic culinary skills as needed.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles.
- Excellent time management skills to effectively balance multiple tasks.
- Basic maths skills for assisting with activities involving counting or measuring.
- Culinary skills related to food preparation and kitchen safety are advantageous.
- Ability to upsell educational activities when appropriate.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help children learn and grow.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
