We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients or residents with daily activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each person's specific needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the well-being of individuals under your care.
- Support transportation needs by driving clients safely to appointments or activities when required.
- Use IT systems efficiently for recording observations, updating care plans, and reporting any concerns promptly.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols to create a safe environment for both clients and staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Care Assistant within care homes or home care settings.
- Knowledge in dementia as we are a dementia specialist home.
- Knowledge of developing and following care plans tailored to individual requirements.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly.
- Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and reporting in healthcare environments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients.
