Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pig Stockman/Woman to join our agricultural team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the care, maintenance, and management of pig stock, ensuring their wellbeing and optimal productivity. Duties
- Provide daily care and feeding for pigs, ensuring their health and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
- Monitor pig health and behaviour, recognising signs of illness or distress and reporting issues promptly.
- Assist with the cleaning and sanitation of pig enclosures to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with general farm maintenance tasks, including the use of hand tools and power tools for repairs or improvements.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or livestock management is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic farm machinery safely and effectively.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management, measurements, and record keeping.
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
