Parliament Street Garage are looking for a PCV licence holder to join the night shift team as an Engineering Support.
About the role
The main purpose of this role is to clean bus interiors and exteriors, using the equipment and materials provided, to meet Company requirements and targets. You will report any damage and/or faults detected and drive, fuel and park the Company’s buses and other vehicles as required.
You will also report any lost property, damage and/or faults found on Company vehicles and assist with vehicle changes and breakdowns.
To bring some variety into the role, you will check vehicle fluid levels (e.g. engine oil and coolant) and retorque road wheels as required.
As a PCV licence holder, you may be required to drive Company vehicles. You will also be expected to clean and keep in good order equipment and resources and carry out general cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
Finally, you will be aware of Health and Safety issues, attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as required.

Have good communication skills

Be a PCV licence holder or hold a shunting licence but work towards a PCV licence within 12 months

Enjoy cleaning and be able and willing to undertake the manual elements of the role

Be able to work flexibly on a rota basis

Be a team player and be able to work on your own initiative.
Remuneration & Hours of Work
The hourly rate is £15.83 per hours, 38hrs per week - 4 days out of 7 (Tuesday & Wednesday, Friday & Saturday), 20:30 to 06:00. You will be entitled to 20 days holiday per year (plus recognised Bank Holidays)
