Community Support Worker
Pay: £13.07 per hour
Job Description
At Aspire Day Service Ltd, we are looking for caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team. This rewarding role involves supporting individuals within the community to live fulfilling, independent, and meaningful lives.
As a Community Support Worker, no two days are the same. You will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and interests, while promoting dignity, choice, independence, and inclusion.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting individuals to maintain and manage their own homes, including daily living tasks and routines.
- Encouraging independence and promoting life skills development.
- Supporting individuals to access activities within the community such as shopping, appointments, education, hobbies, social events, and leisure activities.
- Assisting with days out, trips, and supported holidays.
- Providing emotional support, reassurance, and companionship.
- Supporting individuals to maintain their health and wellbeing, including attending healthcare appointments where required.
- Delivering personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Administering medication following company procedures and training.
- Supporting with moving and handling tasks where required.
- Completing accurate daily records and documentation.
- Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for the individuals we support.
- Participating in sleep-in shifts where required.
About You

- Can work well as part of a team whilst also being confident using their own initiative.
- Have a resilient and positive approach whilst recognising when support and guidance may be needed.

- Are reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality support.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential depending on the role).
Previous experience in care is beneficial but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidates.
