Are you a recent graduate who wants to become a teacher? We are recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants in Hounslow to join an all-through school from September 2026, with access to the school's own internal teacher training programme.
Because this is an all-through school, we have Teaching Assistant positions available across EYFS, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form. You'll be placed in the phase you're interested in and stay with that year group for the full academic year, building real depth of experience with the age range you want to teach.
Positions available
- EYFS Teaching Assistant - supporting early years provision, play-based learning, early literacy and phonics
- Primary Teaching Assistant - supporting KS1 or KS2 classes with whole-class, small-group and 1:1 work
- Secondary Teaching Assistant - in-class support across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE intervention
- Sixth Form Teaching Assistant - supporting KS5 students with A-Level study skills, coursework and independent learning
The role
- Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant position, Monday to Friday, term time
- Supporting the class or subject teacher with whole-class, small-group and 1:1 learning
- Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom routines and pupil progress tracking
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Consistent placement in one phase for the full academic year — no moving between age groups
The school
A large, welcoming all-through school in Hounslow serving pupils from the early years through to sixth form, with a genuine commitment to growing its own teaching staff. The school runs an internal teacher training programme for aspiring teachers, so graduates who join as a Teaching Assistant in September can progress towards qualified teacher status with the same school, supported by colleagues who already know their practice.
Who we're looking for
- A recent graduate - any degree discipline considered, though subject specialists are welcomed for secondary and sixth form roles
- Available full time from September 2026 for the full academic year
- Willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we will guide you through this)
- Genuinely interested in a career in teaching and keen to make use of the internal training programme
- Previous experience with children or young people (tutoring, coaching, mentoring, volunteering, youth work) is welcome but not essential
