New Formation Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming specialist autism school in Kingston, supporting pupils aged 5-16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated learning needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive school where you'll help pupils develop communication, independence and confidence while gaining valuable specialist SEN experience.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Help pupils access learning tailored to their individual needs.
- Encourage communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
- Use positive behaviour strategies and sensory approaches where appropriate.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Build positive relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
- A patient, positive and proactive approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
