Location: Thorp Arch, West Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000–£40,000 OTE (we'll pay properly for the right person)
Job Type: Full-time (42.5 hours/week)
The Role
This is your chance to own how one of the world's finest classic Land Rover builders shows up to the world. We're looking for a Marketing and Social Media Executive to run our channels, campaigns and reporting, and turn an exceptional product into real reach and real enquiries.
Here's the rare part: the creative is already in hand. We've hired a Head of Creative to tell the story of how extraordinary our brand really is, so you get to do what most marketers only wish they could, amplify brilliant work rather than fight to get any, and spend your time on results instead of chasing decent content.
Retro Defenders builds one-of-a-kind classic Land Rovers by hand: Series, Defender and Range Rover Classic. Every donor vehicle is completely disassembled and rebuilt to each client's exact specification, over twelve to eighteen months, for an ultra-high-net-worth clientele all over the world. Our clients include a Formula 1 world champion, royalty, and many of the most successful names in business. They come to us because a Retro Defenders build is made to be kept and passed on. Legacy is Everything.
This is a role with room to grow into. You would be shaping how a rising luxury brand reaches the world, and the difference you make will be visible, in the audience, in the enquiries, and in where the brand goes next.
What You'll Own
- Analytics and reporting across every platform and our website, and using it to sharpen what we do.
- Paid advertising across Meta, YouTube, Snapchat and beyond: building, running and optimising campaigns.
- Our website, its upkeep, and a weekly blog to support SEO (with an outsourced SEO agency you'll manage).
- Email and newsletters.
- Day-to-day community management across our channels, and everyday engagement that grows our audience.
- Keeping our marketing data accurate, secure and well held.
What You Will Do Alongside The Head Of Creative
- Publish and schedule his content across every platform, to his direction.
- Keep the content calendar running.
- Draft the everyday captions and copy for approval.
- Help bring campaigns, the client build book and handover packs to life.
Who You Are
Beyond the skills, character matters to us just as much. We're a small, highly passionate team with a unity we've worked hard for, and we want someone who'll add to it: a fundamentally good person who takes real pride in making the people around them better, not just someone filling a role.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in social media and digital marketing, with a track record you can point to. This is not a role for someone starting out.
- Experience with a premium, luxury or automotive brand
- Hands-on paid advertising experience across Meta, and ideally YouTube and Snapchat: building and running campaigns, not just boosting posts.
- Strong analytics: you read the numbers, know what worked and why, and change what you do because of them.
- Website experience on any platform, comfortable making updates and keeping a site sharp.
- A confident writer who can hold a brand's voice across channels.
- Organised and proactive, the kind of person who takes work off other people's plates before being asked.
- An exceptional eye for detail and a high standard, to match the cars.
- A working understanding of SEO and how content earns its ranking.
- An interest in classic cars, or the patience to fall for them.
- Discreet and professional; our clients value their privacy.
- A full UK driving licence.
Perks & Benefits
- £30–40k OTE, and we'll pay properly for the right person.
- Real ownership of the measurable side of marketing, working closely with a talented Head of Creative.
- The chance to help build a marketing function at a luxury brand on a serious trajectory.
- Access to extraordinary cars, and being part of photoshoots in amazing locations.
- Workplace pension and life insurance.
- Bupa private health insurance for you, your partner and your children.
- 28 days' holiday plus your birthday off, rising by a day for every year of service.
- Training and development, on-site parking and a relaxed dress code.
How To Apply
Send us your CV along with anything that shows your work: channels you've grown, campaigns you've run, results you're proud of. We care more about what you've actually done than a list of tools.
