We are seeking a reliable, physically fit, and highly motivated HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join our logistics team. Operating out of our Aldridge depot, you will be responsible for executing multi-drop deliveries across the West Midlands region. You will ensure goods are delivered safely, on time, and with excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle in accordance with all UK road safety laws, the Highway Code, and company procedures.
- Complete between 5 to 15 drops per day across the West Midlands network, adhering to tight delivery windows.
- Secure vehicle loads using appropriate restraints to prevent damage. Assist with unloading using a tail lift, pump truck, or manual handling (handballing) where required.
- Perform mandatory daily pre-use vehicle inspections, reporting any defects, wear and tear, or safety hazards immediately to the Transport Office.
- Adhere to Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations, and digital tachograph compliance.
- Handle customer queries professionally and maintain a high standard of communication.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork, collect Proof of Delivery (POD) signatures.
- Willingness to assist warehouse staff if required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A valid UK HGV Class 2 / LGV Category C driving licence.
- Minimum 6 to 12 months of experience driving commercially in the UK. Previous multi-drop experience is a distinct advantage.
- Valid Driver Qualification Card (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong understanding of the West Midlands road networks to navigate efficiently around urban areas.
- Capability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks and operate delivery equipment safely.

Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
