Early Years Practitioner
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a friendly, caring and motivated, Early Years professional to join our team as a Full time Practitioner (we will consider a job share position).
The Rocking Horse Day Nursery is a well established family run nursery, based in Kingswood. We are proud of our active learning style which encourages children to be curious, imaginative, creative and independent. In addition to our indoor rooms we have a large outdoor space where practitioners support children explore the natural world and develop their skills.
Key Requirements
- Minimum level 2 Early Years qualification.
- Having a joy for working with children.
- Good communication skills with children, parents and colleagues and the ability to work as part of a team.
- To have a good understanding of the safeguarding of babies and children.
- To support your colleagues in the nursery.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the well-being of the children.
- Plan engaging activities which extend children's curiosity and learning/development.
- To carry out observations and assessments that will support the activities and learning experiences indoors and outdoors (you will have guidance with this).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and support the children.
This post could suit a newly qualified practitioner, Full training will be given.

Starting salary - £13.50 per hour depending on qualification and experience.
Working Hours between 8.00 – 6.00
