Motorcycle Sales & Showroom Manager
ABOUT US:
We don't mean to brag... but we're building something pretty special.
Long Eaton Motorcycles has more than doubled its turnover over the last couple of years, and we're only just getting started.
We're a growing independent motorcycle dealership with big ambitions, a fantastic reputation and a team that genuinely enjoys coming to work. We believe work should be challenging, rewarding and, most importantly, enjoyable.
Our core values are simple:
Truth. Always.
No Shortcuts.
5-Star Service. Every Time.
These aren't just words on a wall. They guide every decision we make.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for someone to take ownership of our showroom.
Not just someone who can sell motorcycles...
Someone who can help us buy them, clean them, advertise them, present them beautifully and give every customer a first-class experience from the moment they walk through the door until long after they've ridden away.
We've got the bikes...
We've got the customers...
We've got the reputation...
We just need you.
Reasons Why We're A Brilliant Place To Work
- We're a small, close-knit team where everyone genuinely gets on.
- No corporate nonsense or endless management meetings.
- You're trusted to get on with your job. No micromanagement.
- Weekly team meetings where everyone's ideas matter.
- The boss occasionally buys lunch. Chippy? Sausage cobs? Pizza? You never know.
- Go-karting, work nights out and team socials.
- Free tea, coffee, snacks and cold drinks.
- Sometimes even free Red Bull.
- Genuine opportunities to grow with the business.
- You'll have ownership over your department rather than simply working in it.
PLUS... we're all motorcycle enthusiasts. We love helping people enjoy riding and you'll be joining a team that actually enjoys coming to work every day.
Is This The Single GREATEST Motorcycle Sales Job In The World?
We think it might be...
Here's why.
This isn't a dealership where you're glued to a desk waiting for someone to walk through the door.
You'll effectively run your own showroom.
You'll help decide which bikes we buy.
You'll value part exchanges.
You'll clean bikes for sale.
You'll photograph them.
You'll advertise them.
You'll speak to customers.
You'll sell them.
You'll hand them over.
You'll build relationships that keep customers coming back.
You'll own the entire customer journey.
We're not looking for someone to simply sell motorcycles.
We're looking for someone who wants to build something.
Let's Talk Package
The package is tailored to the right candidate.
We're looking for the right person, not the cheapest person.
If you're the right fit, we'll put together a package that reflects your experience, attitude and ability.
On top of that you'll enjoy:
- Genuine flexibility.
- A supportive team that has your back.
- Freedom to manage your own workload.
- The latest systems and tools.
- Real progression as the business continues to grow.
As we expand, so do the opportunities.
Let's be honest... it's sales. You're probably wondering about the money!
The current realistic On Target Earnings (OTE) for this role are £35,000 to £45,000, with uncapped earning potential.
The formula is pretty simple...
Sell more bikes.
Sell more accessories and finance products.
Look after your customers.
Earn more money.
There are no ceilings and no limits. The harder and smarter you work, the more you'll earn.
Today's Motorcycle Sales & Showroom Manager could become tomorrow's General Manager.
Your Responsibilities
This role is much bigger than simply selling bikes.
You'll be responsible for the entire showroom.
That means you'll have ownership of:
- Buying motorcycles into stock.
- Valuing part exchanges.
- Jet washing and valeting stock.
- Photographing every bike.
- Creating adverts for Auto Trader, eBay and our website.
- Responding to online enquiries.
- Looking after customers in the showroom and over the phone.
- Arranging finance where appropriate.
- Delivering first-class handovers.
- Following customers up after collection.
- Keeping the showroom looking its absolute best.
There aren't unrealistic deadlines.
Nobody will be constantly looking over your shoulder.
You'll own your responsibilities, manage your own workload and take pride in delivering a fantastic experience.
The Perfect Candidate Will Tick These Boxes
- You'll genuinely enjoy talking to people.
- You'll love motorcycles.
- You'll naturally build rapport with customers.
- You'll be organised and proactive.
- You'll take pride in presentation.
- You'll be happy getting your hands dirty cleaning and preparing bikes.
- You'll be confident using computers, email and CRM systems
- You'll have experience in sales & customer service.
- You'll believe honesty is more important than making a quick sale.
- You'll care about delivering a 5-star customer experience every single time.
Motorcycle industry experience would be fantastic...
...but attitude, personality and willingness to learn are even more important.
