A part-time opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Administration team for the Dietetics Department at the Royal Surrey. This is a part time role (25 hours per week - working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday).
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role .
You will supporting a busy department of 42 dietitians and 6 dietetic assistants and will required to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team. You will need to deal with enquiries, which may at times be of a challenging nature. We are looking for someone who can effectively prioritise, is computer literate and takes a pride in delivering excellent customer services. You will be given training and supervision to develop your skills when dealing with queries and concerns from patients.
This is a busy and varied role, which will primarily support the dietitians with patient related administration tasks which do not require the expertise of a registered dietitian. It includes overseeing the management of telephone and email enquiries and referrals, the electronic management of clinic letters, booking and preparing clinics for dietitians and rescheduling of appointments as well as carrying out other general office duties. This is a key role within the Dietetic Department, providing vital support to ensure the service runs efficiently and effectively. While offering valuable experience within a healthcare setting, this position does not lead to qualification or employment as a Dietitian.

The post holder will work as part of a team sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the dietetic department in line with Trust performance targets. This post will support the dietitians with the day-to-day care and administration of both inpatients and outpatients attending the Royal Surrey Hospital. A considerate, patient focused service will be provided in all dealings with patients and with staff around the hospital and throughout the whole Trust.
