As a Family Support Practitioner, you will provide essential information, advice, and guidance to expectant parents and families with children up to the age of 19 (or 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Your role will ensure families receive the right support from conception until their child reaches adulthood.
In this rewarding role, you will:

Deliver and review a variety of family support services, including one-to-one support and evidence-based parenting programmes.

Conduct structured family assessments and create tailored support plans to meet the unique needs of families.

Act as the lead professional for families requiring additional support, coordinating a personalised package of services.

Maintain accurate and timely records, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Work flexibly across various venues, including family homes and community settings.
To succeed in this role, you should have:

A minimum of two years’ experience working with children and families, preferably in a social care or early help setting.

An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Sound knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, child development, and the importance of early intervention.
