Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SACT Trained Registered Nurse specialising in Chemotherapy to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide specialised nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout their treatment journey. Duties
- Administer chemotherapy and other intravenous medications following prescribed protocols with precision and care.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during and after treatment sessions, recognising any adverse reactions promptly.
- Educate patients and their families about chemotherapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organisational policies.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, pharmacists, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards, including infection control procedures, to safeguard patients and staff.
Requirements
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Must be SACT trained and recent experience of SACT administration
- Experience managing complex cases and supporting multidisciplinary teams
- Right to work in the UK
- Up-to-date mandatory trainings
