Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people?
My client is looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic Children’s Support Workers to join our team in Ilkeston, supporting young people aged 11–19 to feel safe, develop their independence and reach their potential.
The young people may have autism, communication and sensory needs, or behaviours that can be challenging. You don’t need to have all the answers – we’re looking for people with the right attitude, compassion and commitment.
What you'll do
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
- Support their daily routines, education and activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence and life skills.
- Provide calm, consistent and person-centred support.
- Help create a safe, nurturing environment.
- Work as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
Shift Patterns
- Early: 07:30–15:00
- Late: 14:30–22:00 / sleep-in
- Waking Night: 21:45–07:45
- Full: 07:30–22:00 / sleep-in
- Sleep-ins: Average of 2 per week – approximately £5,200 per year
Salary
- Unqualified Support Worker: £25,775.88 (£12.71ph)
- Qualified Support Worker: £26,548.88–£28,093.88 (£13.09–£13.85ph)
- Qualified Senior Support Worker: £27,763.32 (£13.69ph)
