The Role
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Training Recruitment Consultant to join our Adult & Community Learning team on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in attracting, engaging and supporting learners into training programmes that enhance skills, improve employability and create career opportunities across the Middlesbrough area. As a Training Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for promoting training opportunities, building relationships with prospective learners and stakeholders, and providing information, advice and guidance throughout the recruitment process. You will act as an ambassador for our provision, helping individuals identify suitable learning pathways and supporting them from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
While this position is offered on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave, Middlesbrough College is a large organisation with a variety of career opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the learner and employer recruitment cycle.
- Register employer vacancies and develop a good understanding of what companies do, culture, market etc.
- Manage vacancies appropriately, advertising where necessary, using a wide range of media (e.g., Apprenticeship Vacancies website, social media, external job boards / websites, Northern Skills Group website).
- Source and shortlist suitable CVs in line with employer recruitment requests.
- Arrange interviews for the right learners with the right employers and provide feedback to candidates on interview outcomes.

Qualifications
- A good standard of general education e.g., 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English & Maths.
- Recruitment consultant/ Sales / Telesales experience.
- Knowledge of apprenticeships – Desirable.
- Knowledge of work-based learning – Desirable.
Experience
- Commercial / Industry related background.
- Education recruitment experience – Preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of consistently achieving performance targets, as well as motivating others to do so.
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent customer service focus.
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
- Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills.
- Create, maintain & promote good working relationships.
- High level of self-motivation and ability to work on own initiative.
