Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team to support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate and timely management information to guide strategic and operational decision-making. The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing management accounts, maintaining financial controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and providing financial insight to departments across the business. The Management Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and providing recommendations for cost control and process improvements.
Duties
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
- Preparation and processing of payroll
- Assist with the monthly and annual closing process, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across the group.
- Monitor and analyse costs, margins, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in the preparation of group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate posting and maintenance of financial transactions within the ERP systems for UK and Australian entities.
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand financial drivers and recommend efficiencies.
- Contribute to process improvements within the finance function.
- Provide support during audits and for statutory reporting as required.
- Requirement to undertake operational duties normally performed by other team members as necessary to ensure business continuity during periods of leave, absence, or increased demand.
Qualifications
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
- Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory reporting requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with ERP/accounting systems.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
