Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality and Compliance Coordinator to support the charity’s commitment to high standards, strong governance, and safe, effective practice . This role ensures our policies, records, and statutory training remain up to date, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will oversee compliance processes, support quality assurance initiatives, and help maintain the high standards that define YMCA South Devon’s commitment to excellence. A role that is ideal for someone organised, proactive, and confident working across teams.
Duties
- Policy Management — Maintain and update organisational policies; track review cycles; ensure approved versions are circulated and stored correctly.
- Compliance Monitoring — Support internal audits, risk assessing, and compliance reporting; highlight gaps and overdue actions.
- Training Coordination — Schedule mandatory and refresher training for staff and trustees; monitor completion; maintain training logs.
- Record Keeping — Keep staff and trustee files up to date, including DBS checks, declarations, and training records.
- Quality Assurance — Assist with quality reviews, improvement plans, and monitoring of standards across services.
- General Administration — Provide administrative support to leadership and governance functions.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices
- Stay informed about relevant legislation, industry standards, and best practices affecting youth services
Experience
- Experience in quality assurance or compliance roles within a charitable or community-focused organization desirable.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to children youth services or community programs
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and documentation effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident managing multiple deadlines
- Clear written communication
- Comfortable using digital systems and maintaining structured records

Hours & Salary
Part‑time role-16 hours p/w. Salary: £16-£19 per hour depending on experience.
