Front of House / Kitchen Team Member – Fringe by The Sea
Company: The Carb Club
Location: North Berwick
Job Type: Temporary / Seasonal (August contract with paid training in July)
Pay Rate: £14+ per hour
About Us:
The Carb Club is an independent, high-energy street food brand serving up premium, heritage-driven Italian comfort food. Our menu is built on 100-year-old family recipes, slow-cooked for hours, and dished out to hungry crowds in seconds.
We are a progressive, values-driven business rooted in heart and purpose. We stand for inclusivity, we support our community by donating 100% of our pride merchandise profits to LGBT Youth Scotland, and we look after the crew making the magic happen. Our leadership uniquely pairs over 20 years of hospitality expertise with qualified life coaching to create a highly supportive, positive, and motivating team environment.
We are gearing up for our biggest month of the year, and we need brilliant people to join the family for our venue at Fringe by the sea (and The Fringe, Edinburgh. Please see other job ad for that one).
The Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hard-working Team Members to work across both Front of House and our fast-paced simple kitchen setup. You will be the face of the Club during the busiest, most exciting month in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Hospitality: Greeting customers with genuine warmth, taking orders efficiently, and maintaining an inclusive, high-energy vibe at the counter.
- Speedy Service: Assembling and serving up premium bowls of fresh pasta to festival crowds quickly and accurately.
- Kitchen Support: Assisting with basic food prep, portion control, and keeping the service area immaculately clean and organized.
- Teamwork: Communicating clearly with the rest of the crew to keep ticket times low and energy levels high.
Key Dates & Availability:
- Paid Training: Throughout July (flexible part-time hours to get you fully up to speed).
- Fringe by the sea: July 30th 2026 – August 9th, 2026 (Full availability during these dates is essential, including weekends and evenings).
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced hospitality, retail, or street food environment is awesome, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.
- Energy: A friendly, outgoing personality. You thrive in a busy, high-volume environment and love interacting with people.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and ready to work hard as part of a close-knit team.
- Alignment with Our Values: Respectful, inclusive, and enthusiastic about working for a certified Living Wage Employer.

- Fair Pay: A guaranteed Living Wage
- A Supportive Environment: Work in a workspace shaped by professional coaching, where your well-being and development are prioritized.
- Great Perks: Delicious fresh pasta meals on shift and excellent team vibes during the best month of the city's calendar.
