Job Summary
Wallacetown Gardens is a 20 bedded unit for younger adults aged 18-65, our residents experience complex conditions such as Huntingtons Disease, brain injuries and long term mental health conditions.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have a thorough understanding of anatomy. As a Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while supporting their recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the clinical environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing role is preferred but not mandatory for newly qualified nurses.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy is essential to effectively assess and respond to patients' needs.
- Demonstrated ability in patient care practices, with a focus on empathy and compassion towards patients.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
