About the role
At the heart of our operations, turning customer demand into effective production plans that keep the business moving by developing and managing production schedules, coordinating resources and materials, and responding quickly to changing priorities. No two days are the same - balancing customer requirements, production capacity, stock levels and operational challenges to deliver the best possible outcomes.

What you'll be doing:
- Creating and managing daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Monitoring stock levels and material availability.
- Identifying risks, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Communicating plans and updates across multiple departments.
- Supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Helping ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
About You
You're highly organised, detail-focused and thrive in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly. You enjoy analysing information, solving problems and working collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals.
You'll be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and have excellent communication skills. Most importantly, you'll be proactive, adaptable and motivated to make a difference.

Reporting to: Production Supervisor
Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 32 per week Wednesday -Saturday starting at 7am
Location: Orchard Farm, School Road, Salford Priors
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and customer demand.
· Adjust schedules in real-time in response to supply chain disruptions, machine downtime, or urgent orders.
· Monitor raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventory.
· Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
· Communicate production plans and changes to all relevant departments.
· Analyse production capacity and resource utilization.
· Identify bottlenecks and propose capacity adjustments or improvements.
· Support planning of maintenance windows without disrupting production.
· Support implementation of best practices in planning and scheduling.
· Ensure production plans comply with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
· Coordinate with QA to ensure all products meet specifications.
· Identify risks to production
· Develop contingency plans and prioritize production in line with business needs.
· To proactively participate in the individual performance management process, achieving SMART targets and continuous personal developments
· To fully participate in the development of the Packhouse vision.
· To undertake any other duties that are appropriate for the role and contribute to the overall success of the Salford Priors production site.
Essential criteria
· Minimum GCSE grades A-C or equivalent in Maths & English
Previous experience in a production planning, scheduling, supply chain, logistics, operations or manufacturing support role
· Experience analysing data and producing reports to support decision making
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
Effective interpersonal skills to influence and build relationships across departments
· Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
· Team-focused approach with a collaborative working style
· Ability to identify risks and proactively develop solutions
