About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, experienced warehouse leader to run our Warehouse Department day to day — from goods-in to despatch. You'll lead a team through a fast-paced, high-volume environment, keep operations running to KPI, and make sure every order goes out on time and every customer gets what they ordered. This is a role for someone who leads from the floor, not just the office.

Everything you do rolls up to three outcomes: orders fulfilled on time, customers satisfied, and customers retained. You're the person who makes that happen.
A Typical Day
You'll open the shift by briefing the team and setting priorities, then spend the day moving between zones — walking the floor, keeping pickers and packers on pace, and stepping in wherever the pressure builds. As the day progresses, focus sharpens around getting Express and Goal orders out the door and keeping pace with a run of courier collections through the afternoon and evening. You'll close the shift by confirming everything urgent has gone out and handing over a clear picture of what's outstanding to the next team.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Operations
● Lead and coordinate the warehouse team across all daily operations, stepping in hands-on during busy periods
● Deploy team members across zones based on real-time demand throughout the day
● Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues raised by the team
● Perform despatch checks and password overrides
● Lead mass stock checks and seasonal stock reorganisation based on management reporting and feedback
● Investigate stock discrepancies and lead regular audits
People
● Train new and existing staff across all areas of the role
● Follow up on errors with staff and coach them on improvement
● Keep Slack communications answered promptly
● Hold regular check-ins with office management
KPIs You'll Own
● All Next Day and Goal orders despatched on time
● All Express orders completed before end of shift
● Purchase orders checked in within agreed timeframes
● Returns processed within agreed timeframes
● All stock put away — no stock left sitting in receiving or multi-SKU locations
● All courier pickup deadlines hit (Parcelhub, Translink, DPD)
Stock & Supplies
● Run weekly consumable stock counts and reorder proactively to avoid shortages
Core Warehouse Duties (shared with the team, led by you)
● Picking orders via voice headset and computer systems
● Packing and despatching orders to company standard
● Wrapping and loading pallets for despatch
● Checking in purchase orders via handheld device, liaising with the office on any issues
● Processing customer returns and flagging issues to the office
● Putting away new and returned stock correctly
● Ensuring products are stored, labelled, and handled safely
● Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse
● Following all company and health & safety requirements
What We're Looking For
● Proven experience in warehouse operations, ideally in a supervisory or team-lead capacity
● Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure, especially against tight courier and order deadlines
● Confident, clear communicator who can train, coach, and hold people accountable
● Comfortable with warehouse systems (voice-pick, handheld scanners)
● A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of outcomes, not just tasks

Pay: £13.75-£14.75 per hour
