We are looking for a friendly and dedicated bar and kitchen staff member to join our team here at Long Rest Boardgame Bar and Cafe! You will be required to greet customers, take and prepare both food and drink orders, as well as maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Shifts will include evenings and weekends. We are dedicated to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment, with friendly service, good food and good games.
Key Duties include:
- Preparing and serving a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, including cocktails.
- Preparing food from our menu
- Ensuring that you adhere to food hygiene procedures
- Taking orders using a till
- Checking ID's and carrying out age verification procedures
- Engaging with customers, answering questions and giving suggestions on food, drink and boardgames
- Keeping the bar and kitchen clean, safe and well organised
- Monitoring stock levels
- Clearing tables, collecting glasses and dishes as well as cleaning dishes
- Perform open and close duties
We are looking for someone who:
- Is friendly and approachable, with a positive attitude
- is capable of working in a fast paced environment
- Has previous experience working in hospitality
- Is passionate about boardgames, TRRPG's or TCG's
- Is flexible, and is able to work evenings, weekends and is able to cover shifts when required
- Is over the age of 18
