Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional DHL Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a valid <PERSON> driver licence, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively during daily routes. Duties
- Safely operate a DHL delivery vehicle along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
- Load and unload parcels, ensuring correct handling and secure placement within the vehicle
- Deliver packages to customers in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service and communication
- Collect signatures or proof of delivery as required, maintaining accurate records of deliveries made
- Assist with warehouse organisation and inventory management when not on delivery routes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including proper lifting techniques for heavy parcels
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during routes
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Familiarity with heavy lifting procedures and safe handling of parcels
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Valid <PERSON> driver licence with clean driving record
- Experience with courier or parcel delivery services is preferred but not essential
