Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role
Utilising your background knowledge and experience in the field of Electrical engineering , you will be providing support to the maintenance department.
The role is responsible for ensuring the technical delivery of day to day maintenance at Little Barford Power Station.
The work will also include planning and delivery of electrical work packages for outages within an allocated time frame.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute day-to-day electrical maintenance, including proactive routine maintenance of electrical apparatus (e.g., 415V switchgear, motors, electrical actuators).
- Ensure compliance with maintenance and operational safety policies, procedures, and plant equipment standards within the discipline area.
- Develop and improve Local Maintenance Strategies to align with the overall Asset Strategy, while providing technical support to maintenance technicians.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and oversee contracts for daily activities and specific projects.
- Foster a culture of innovation to drive continuous business performance improvements.
Facilitate “Out of hours” call-outs for breakdowns, operational support, and short outages.

Job Requirements and Experience
- Qualified to HNC, HND, or Degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline; membership in a professional body such as the IET is desirable.
- Extensive experience in large industrial electrical systems, with proven ability to manage small teams and complex plant issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and communicating effectively with various groups.
- Adaptable to changing priorities, with a keen attention to detail, and well-developed analytical, organizational, and commercial awareness.
- Strong team player, able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
In-depth knowledge and experience with Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, regulations, and directives.
