A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join a beautiful nursing home based in Willenhall, West Midlands. This newly refurbished cosy nursing home offers a warm and friendly atmosphere for both the residents and the staff. The dedicated team of staff provide high quality nursing care to the elderly and residents with dementia. The home is ideally located near Walsall & Wolverhampton and is close to public transport links.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a leading healthcare provider in one of their fantastic nursing homes. The Home Manager is very flexible and can accommodate both full and part time hours and both nights and day shifts are available. We welcome applications from both newly-qualified or experienced Care assistants.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Previous experience of working in a care setting
- Previous experience of working in a care setting
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Team Player
- Willingness to participate in vocational training programmes
- Satisfactory DBS police check and check against the ISA list (where applicable)
- Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act
- Basic understanding of Infection Control
Desirable:
- Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved or working towards) - Min NVQ Level 2
- Evidence of having undertaken relevant training (i.e. lifting and handling, health and safety, food hygiene etc.
- Clean Transferable DBS/Registered with DBS Update service
All candidates must have full eligibility to live and work in the UK. Carers must have good communication skills, a hard-working nature, and the willingness to get stuck in.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and their families regarding care needs.
- Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions.
- Drive to clients' homes as needed, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
- Uphold the highest standards of care and adhere to NVQ guidelines.
