Work base: Coed Pella
We are seeking to appoint a permanent, full-time Section Manager within the Family Support and Intervention Service, with responsibility for Resources.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated manager to provide strong operational leadership within a busy and ambitious children’s services environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that children, young people and families receive timely, effective and well-coordinated support.
The Family Support and Intervention Service works with children and families where care and support needs, safeguarding concerns or more complex risks have been identified. The Resources element of the service supports effective planning, coordination and delivery of resources which help practitioners and managers respond to children and families in a purposeful, proportionate and outcome-focused way.
The postholder will be responsible for leading and supporting Team Managers in the Strengthening Families team and Family Time team and staff within the sections, promoting high standards of practice, effective performance management, and a clear focus on improving outcomes for children and families.
You will work collaboratively with Service managers, peers, partner agencies and colleagues across Children’s Services to ensure safe and clear governance arrangements, effective use of resources, and accountability for service delivery.
We are looking for a confident, values-led and resilient leader who can support excellent practice, contribute to service improvement, and work positively with staff and partners in a changing and demanding environment.
