Join GTR's dynamic machine shop team as a Machine Shop Assistant, where your enthusiasm will contribute to our manufacturing projects. In this role, you will report to the Machine Shop Manager and you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of work progressing through the workshop.
Job Description & Key responsibilities:
· Washing / Cleaning Parts
· Deburring inserts (by hand, router)
· Checking Material for missing stickers/GRN’s
· Washing out the parts cleaner (Once every 6 weeks)
· Cutting Materials to size using bandsaws
· Drain and empty swarf bins / Scrap collection (Once a fortnight)
· Controlling metal racks to ensure tidy and all material has traceability
· Keeping the machine shop tidy
Key requirements:
· Ability to use hand tools to ensure parts are deburred correctly (training given).
· Ability to follow instructions ensuring work is carried out correctly.
· Willingness to be proactive in seeking work within the machine shop.
· Must be enthusiastic, with a can do attitude.
No experience is needed for this role as full training can be given
Core Hours 8:00-16:30 Monday-Friday.

Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
