About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Psychiatrist to join our growing ADHD medication service. The successful candidate will play a key role in the medication initiation, titration, and ongoing management of patients with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD.

Main responsibilities
· Initiate and oversee ADHD medication treatment plans in line with national guidelines.
· Manage medication titration and ongoing reviews.
· Monitor treatment effectiveness, side effects, and patient outcomes.
· Provide clinical leadership and support to the wider multidisciplinary team.
· Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
· Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
Essential Requirements
- GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Experience in ADHD assessment and pharmacological management.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centred care.
About You
We are looking for a compassionate, highly skilled, and patient-focused Psychiatrist with a strong interest in ADHD assessment and medication management. You will have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating ADHD and be confident in initiating, titrating, and monitoring medication in line with current clinical guidelines.
The ideal candidate will be GMC registered, on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry, and possess excellent clinical judgement alongside outstanding communication skills. You will be comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
You are organised, proactive, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for patients. With a strong understanding of ADHD across the lifespan, you are able to build trusting relationships with patients and their families, ensuring treatment plans are individualised, safe, and effective.
You are passionate about improving access to ADHD services and delivering exceptional patient care in a professional, supportive, and inclusive environment.
