SEMH Teaching Assistant – ASAP Start – Temp to Perm – North London
Are you a resilient, nurturing SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference? We're recruiting on behalf of an outstanding independent therapeutic secondary school in North London, supporting students aged 11–19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and EHCPs.
The role:
- SEMH Teaching Assistant, supporting small-group and 1:1 learning
- ASAP start – temp to perm for the right candidate
- Full-time, term-time
- Working within a small, therapeutic, highly-supportive school community
- Close collaboration with teachers, clinical/therapeutic staff and the inclusion team
What we're looking for:
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH, ASD, anxiety-related needs or similar
- A calm, patient, relationship-driven approach
- Resilience and a genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
