An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Audit/Accounts Senior to join our Alpha family.
We are a young and vibrant firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, Registered Auditors and Tax Advisors, based in Fulham, London, SW6. Our historical and continued successful growth has been down to providing an excellent personal service and understanding the requirements of small businesses.
Alpha Accountants was established in 1996 by our director Charlie Hambi, who had previously worked in several small and medium sized accountancy practices gaining a wide range of excellent experience.
Most of our members of staff have been with us for many years and those that have left us always do so with pleasant and fond memories – this is an indication that Alpha is a very pleasant place to work.
We have grown into a firm of 13 employees with a portfolio of over 500 clients, large and small in an array of different businesses. We are very proud of our firm and the great team ethic we have. We organize many social events throughout the year and work with all the latest software, working towards a paper-free office.
We are looking for a fully qualified ACA / ACCA audit manager/accountant who has previous experience within public practice and ideally supervisory and management experience.
You must be ambitious, enthusiastic and knowledgeable to continue to boost our business and become a valuable member of our team.
You will be expected to head our audit department and work closely with a large range of clients including, limited companies, PLC’s, sole traders and charities, providing a high quality service.
Responsibilities include:
- Audit manager - responsible for all audits
- Meeting new prospective clients and onboarding
- Client Liaison
- Supervise, assist, review and deal with your own portfolio of clients
- Preparation of statutory accounts as well as sole trader and rental accounts
- Preparation of corporate and personal tax computations and returns
- Preparation of capital gains tax returns
- Mitigating potential issues presented by clients, liaising with HMRC and other third parties
- preparing calculations for Research & Development Tax Credit claims
- Supervising and training junior staff
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Confident, ambitious and with the ability to cope in a fast paced environment, delivering work to agreed timescales
- Capability to handle multiple and diverse projects simultaneously
Requirements:
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA
- At least 5 years’ practice experience
- You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
Package
Salary £40,000 - £55,000 + bonuses + benefits (mobile and medical)
